"at the very beginning" ...of the road to nowhereIve been feeling the need to restart my blog . Its hard to pick up where you left off ... Many things have changed in my life since I last wrote here and they will continue to change as the year passes . But it IS a new year and so instead of trying to pick up where I left off I'm going to make a new beginning and over time i think the gaps will be filled for those reading.
Today .
I had my bag packed and everything at the ready for an overnight stay in hospital with Heather . This is part of a follow up sleep study to try and diagnose her sleep disorders / narcolepsy and epilepsy. We recently discovered via some tests ( lumbar puncture and Mri) that there is a high likelihood that Heather has some form of Infantile Parkisonism. Another post for another day perhaps . We are trialling *sinimet* a known Parkinson's treatment and slowly weaning her onto that now. There are specific connections between sleep / narcolepsy and parkinsonism.
Heavy snow fall across the country has brought our transport systems to their knees once again , it seems we never prepare well enough .. or perhaps the truth is we really don't want to . We all secretly like the fact that the daily grind can stop grinding a while . A blanket of escapism falls on our country , people stop going about their daily business and take time to build a snowman , play with their children and generally remember they are alive after all .

We were due to leave at 12.30pm , the call cancelling our stay came at 12pm. So we changed our clothes and escaped .

Hi, lovely to see you back. Glad you managed a 'snow day'. xx
I know the feeling of trying to start blogging again. I am not sure what has happened for me to stop either. I do know though that I *need* it. I am trying to start over again too. Maybe we can both get back on the road again.
BTW, did you get anew appointment for these tests??
